How To Draw Braids

My dad taught me how to draw braids, :). He is really good at drawing, and is also a professional photographer, so he is good at remembering the little details in things, :).

So, here is the way I learned is the best way to draw braids, :).

Draw your first braid....

And add another one on to that.

Continue down the braid, getting narrower as you go down.   

Here's what it looks like now: 

 Darken  the outlines of each braid.

 

 Fill in the braids, leaving a highlight in the middle of each one. 

                                     
                              And you're done!
